if I could wrap you in love and warmth
assure you when you doubt
assuage your troubled mind
remind you of your passion, your strength, your resiliency
show you how brave you are,
i would.
as our home is our sanctuary,
the place where we let our guard down (hopefully),
where we hone our beliefs
to take them out into the world
and make it better,
where we welcome both strangers and those familiar to us,
where our most intimate matters of heart, soul and mind are played out -
I offer small but weighty metal plaques to place in doorways.
doors are passages from our private world to the world at large and back. placement there affirms to you and all who enter knowledge of the love, compassion and awakening that guide you and that you share with and extend to others. these honor you and the religion/philosophy of kindness.
to take it one step further, each passage in our home is significant. and different messages might be appropriate in different places.
i am very excited about these and what they could mean for people - how we can 'check ourselves at the door', bolster up and move forward. i see them on moldings - above a door or to the side of it, on the interior or exterior.
'peace to all who enter here.' - a heavy weight copper plaque, hand cut, textured, filed and smoothed, then hand stamped. patina is applied to give an aged appearance, then buffed, tumbled and sealed two ways to protect the finish.
i have expanded my offerings for folks who find peace in different places and traditions. if there is something you would like to see, please don't hesitate to ask.
plaque measures approximately 4" x 2" or 10 x 5 cm
i will include 2 tacks with which to hang the piece.
